Terms of service.

Stampresso is a digital loyalty card for venues: instead of a paper card with stamps, your guests collect stamps on their phone, and every 10th coffee is free. This page explains the terms under which you use Stampresso in your venue: how the trial works, how the subscription and renewal work, what happens before and after expiry, and how we keep data. We tried to write it plainly, no fine print.

The most important part, in short

We do not sell or share your venue's and your guests' data with anyone, not with other venues, not with third-party companies. You remain the owner of your data.

What Stampresso is

Stampresso is software you use as a service (over the internet), with no installation on your devices or servers. Your venue gets its own version of the card in your name and your colors. Guests open it on their phone, staff scan their code and add a stamp, and when the card fills up the guest gets the reward you set. We maintain the app, keep the data and build new features; you use it for your loyalty program.

Who can use the service

Stampresso is intended for registered venues, cafes, restaurants and similar businesses. So your staff can add stamps, they get a login. You are responsible for who in your venue has access to the account and for keeping passwords safe, as well as for what your staff do through that account. If you suspect the account has been misused, let us know so we can secure it right away.

Trial period

Every new venue starts with 90 days free, a full three months, with no credit card and no obligation whatsoever. The trial begins the day we activate your venue and includes every Pro feature, the full service with no limits. The point is for you to try Stampresso at your own pace before you decide.

Nothing is charged automatically. We don't have your card and we don't take money on our own. If you don't want to continue after the trial, you simply don't pay, the service pauses, with no debt and no further obligation.

Subscription and prices

After the trial you choose one of two plans:

  • Start, EUR 19.99 per month or EUR 199.99 per year. It covers the core of the service: the scanner for staff, guest cards, stamps, rewards and a choice of card type (what your venue collects).
  • Pro, EUR 29.99 per month or EUR 299.99 per year. Everything in Start, plus analytics, messages and coupons for guests, a card in your venue's color and a card on your own domain.

You can change plans. Upgrading to Pro takes effect as soon as you pay. If you move from Pro to Start, the Pro features are locked but nothing is deleted; analytics keep being recorded in the background and are available to you again, in full, if you return to Pro.

Payment is handled by our payment partner, who processes the card payment and issues you a receipt. Prices may change. If they do, we will announce new prices in advance, and the change does not apply to a period you have already paid for.

Renewal

You pay the subscription for the chosen period and we extend it once the payment is processed. If you renew early, the new period is added to the end of the existing one, you lose no paid day.

Before the subscription expires

You won't be caught off guard. The staff dashboard always shows the date the subscription is valid until, and as expiry approaches we also show a reminder that it's time to renew. That is just a heads-up, all features work normally while the subscription lasts.

When the subscription expires

Even after expiry you get a short grace period of a few days, during which everything still works normally, so a payment in progress won't interrupt your work.

If no payment arrives even after the grace period, the venue moves into a pause. Then new stamps are temporarily not added, but, and this is important, nothing is deleted:

  • All existing cards, collected stamps and history are kept.
  • Guests can still open and see their card.
  • A reward a guest has already collected can be used even during the pause.

As soon as the payment is processed, the venue is reactivated and continues exactly where it left off. The pause is temporary, not a loss of data.

Your obligations as a venue

For everything to work as it should, we count on you to:

  • use Stampresso for a real loyalty program for your guests, in line with its purpose;
  • keep staff accounts and passwords safe and not share them with unauthorized people;
  • duly pay the subscription for the period in which you use the service;
  • not attempt to bypass, damage or misuse the system, or use it contrary to the law.

Data, who owns what and how we keep it

We distinguish two kinds of data, and we do not sell or pass on either for marketing purposes.

Your venue's data. At sign-up and billing we store the business's registration details, name, tax/registration number, address, contact person, email and phone. They serve us solely for issuing invoices and running the subscription. You remain the owner of that data.

Your guests' data. We keep guests' names and phone numbers so the card works and so a guest can recover their account. You, as the venue, do not see your guests' names or phone numbers, at most you have access to aggregate figures (for example how many people in total use the card and how many are active), from which it is not possible to tell who is who. More on this is in the Privacy policy.

We store data technically with a database service provider (Supabase), on servers in the European Union (Ireland). It is transmitted and stored over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and access to the database is locked so that data cannot be reached directly, everything goes through the service, with an authorization check. We would disclose data to a third party only if legally required to by a competent authority.

Service availability

We work hard to keep Stampresso reliable and to maintain and improve it constantly. Still, as with any online service, short outages are occasionally possible due to maintenance or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases we fix the issue as fast as we can. We don't offer a formal guarantee of uninterrupted operation, but your smooth operation is always a priority for us.

Intellectual property

The Stampresso app, its code, design and name belong to us. By using the service you get the right to use Stampresso for your venue while the subscription lasts, but not to copy, sell or pass on the software itself. Your venue's name, logo and colors, which appear in your version of the card, remain yours.

Liability

We provide the service in good faith and as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage (for example lost profit) that might arise from an interruption or unavailability of the service. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

Ending use

You can stop using it at any time, it's enough not to renew the subscription. There is no contractual obligation, no penalty for cancellation. On our side, we may pause or close an account if these terms are seriously breached (misuse, unlawful use or an unpaid subscription). If it comes to that, let us know in time if you want an export of your data before it is removed.

Changes to the service and these terms

Stampresso keeps developing, so from time to time we may add, change or withdraw a feature. Likewise, we may update these terms. When we do, we will change this page and the date at the top, and where possible we will specifically flag larger changes. Continued use after a change means you agree with it.
